Penuel Independent Chapel was built in 1857 in the Simple Italianate style of the gable-entry type. The central, round-headed doorway has a simple moulded surround and is flanked by two tall, narrow round-headed windows with florentine tracery and delicately moulded drip moulds. Above the door are three smaller round-headed windows, the central one with Florentine tracery. Above this is a plaque inscribed 'PENUEL INDEPENDANT CHAPEL BUILT A.D. 1857'.
