DescriptionTabernacle Methodist Chapel was first built in 1854 by the architect E. Harris of Merthyr and builder D. Davies of Port Talbot. The chapel was then rebuilt in 1873 to the design of architect Thomas Thomas of Landore, in the Sub-Classical style with a gable-entry plan and a large arch in the facade. In the centre of the facade is a large triple window, each light round-headed with a keystone with rustication decoration. Below this are the two central entrances with similar mouldings and keystones to the architraves.
