Description

1. A wayside station of 1868, replacing the original Conway and Llanrwst Railway terminus station of 1863, when the line was extended to Bettws-y-coed in 1867 (nprn 41466). The station, renamed North Llanrwst from 1989, lies on the Conwy Valley Line (nprn 415673), formerly the Bettws y Coed Branch of the London and North Railway. This section of railway served a number of the slate quarries in the Nantconwy area.

The main elevation has a projecting gabled bay with stone finial and coping. To the ground floor is a window of three round-headed lights, with mullions treated as pilasters and decorated keystones to the outer lights. On the ground floor is a largely boxed-in canopy, remaining open to the right, with chamfered wooden posts and bracing.
On the east platform is a single-storey low shelter, with a hipped roof with wide eaves and sheet roof covering. Central recessed waiting area with broad opening under wooden lintel with central chamfered post and arch braces. Interior sides are partitioned off. Outer bays each have three-light mullioned stone windows.
