Description
Trinity Baptist Chapel was first built on this site in 1803, rebuilt in 1867 and again in 1905. The later chapel is built in a very Simple Classical style, with a central , round-headed doorway with pronounced voussoirs, above which is a group of three round-headed windows, the outer two narrower than the central one. These are flanked by two tall, round-headed windows which are two storeys in height. In the apex of the gable is a roundel, the surround of which is inscribed with TRINITY BAPTIST CHAPEL BUILT 1867. The RCCEORBW records that in 1905 there were sittings for 430 people, and that the chapel was built at a cost of £800.
