Description
Christ Church in Llawryglyn was once the Catholic Church serving this region of the parish of Trefeglwys. It appears on the first Ordnance Survey map of Montgomeryshire, marked as Eglwys y Drindod-Sanctaidd; the Church of the Holy Trinity. As the congregation reduced the church fell into disuse, and it has since been redeveloped into two domestic dwellings.
The church was a long-wall entry type built in the gothic style. It comprised a continuous nave and chancel with off-centre tower, which has since been removed. The masonry building had arched fenestration, a slate roof, and stepped buttresses, while the belfry was of particular note for its carved wooden slats.
