Bethel Independent Chapel was built in 1863, by architect John Humphreys of Treforest, rebuilt in 1883 and again in 1903. The later chapel was built in the Simple Round-Headed and Sub-Classical style of the gable-entry type, with two storeys and a large arch in the facade. By 1997 Bethel had fallen ito disuse.
