Description
Zoar Independent Chapel was built in 1842, rebuilt in 1874 and again in 1911. The present chapel, dated 1911, was designed by architect William Beddoe Rees of Cardiff, in the Gothic style with a gable-entry plan , two storeys and perpendicular windows with tracery glazing. Zoar closed in 1978 and was converted for use as a chapel of rest. The building is now Grade 2 listed for its "particularly interesting facade ... by an eminent architect".
