Tabernacle Independent Chapel was built in 1810 and rebuilt in 1850. The later chapel was built in the Sub-Classical style with 2 storeys, a gable entry plan and tall round-headed windows. Tabernacle was demolished in 1993 to make way for development on Aberdare Street and new Tabernacle was built on Derwen road (NPRN 506090)
