Castleton Baptist Chapel was built in 1859 and an organ added in 1902. The chapel was designed by architect Robert George Thomas of Newport and built in the Lombardic/Italian style, with a gable entry plan, integral tower and wheel window. In 2001, the chapel was sold by the congregation, who moved to the smaller 'Gateway Christian Centre' in Marshfield. The 1859 chapel is now Grade 2 Listed as a distinctive and well detailed mid nineteenth century chapel.
