Description
NAR SS97SW10

A generally irregular, rather rectinlinear eathwork complex, 80m square, sub-divided internally, set on ground leading down N to the Afon Alun, where masonry building materials have been noted in cattle-tread and a quern fragment recovered; set centrally within an area of traces of embanked enclosures extending c.230m E-W by 50m.

Thought likely to represent a med. manorial grange of the Lordship of Ogmore, although a Roman origin has been suggested.
