Maescelyn is dated 1873. It is a small Victorian country house in subdued mixed Gothic and Jacobean Revival. 2-storey and attic with tiled roof having cylindrical stone chimney stacks, some grouped. The entrance front has twin Arts and Crafts asymmetrical gables.
