Description
A small twin-cylindered horizontal winding engine to a design by J. Wild and Co., of Oldham dated 1891, probably installed around 1912. It is situated next to stone engine beds on top of coal tips in the Clyne Valley Country Park.

The site is shown as an operational colliery on the first edition Ordnance Survey 25in map of 1878 but the only earthwork remains are shown on the second edition of 1899.
