A level or adit with a small amount of waste rock piled in the entrance and some cascading down itno the stream below. Detail is difficult to make out as this is a narrow cleft behind fairly distant fencing but there do not appear to be any associated structures. Perhaps originally for drainage, later re-working may have resulted in it becoming partly blocked by spoil. Noted during an upland survey conducted by Archaeophysica during 2005-6
