DescriptionOn the corner of Yorke Street and High Street. Present building is early C19, but probably the site referred to as No.25 by Palmer, where an inn was in existence by 1755.
Constructed of painted brick with a slate roof, built to three storeys, with a two window range. The shop front to the ground floor is a late 20the century insertion (replacing an earlier 20th century shop front). There are 9-pane sash windows to the first floor with flat arched, painted heads which were probably reduced in height when the earlier shop front was inserted. The second floor windows are of a greater height, and also have flat-arched heads. There is a plain wood eaves cornice.
