St Gwrin's church is located in Llanwrin, three miles to the north east of Machynlleth. The church is a single chambered structure of late medieval origin and also retains a 14th Century piscine, and from the 15th Century an arched braced roof and stained glass. The altar table is created by 17th Century woodwork. The church was fully restored in 1864. There is also a circular stone-walled churchyard located on the north bank of the river Dovey.
