Description
St Andoenus' church is located between the lane and a wooded cliff on the south side of Mounton and stands on the ancient site of a monk's cell. The present church was built in 1880 to designs of architect Walter Evill of Chepstow. It consists of a two-bay nave and one-bay chancel, west gable entrance, lean-to north vestry and ashlar bell gablet. Stained glass includes works by Reginald Bell (1933), M.F.Farrar Bell (1962) and Celtic Studios (1979).
