Description
This is a round-angled rectangular enclosure north-east of Forden Gaer Roman settlement (NPRN 94012), known from air photograph mapping (Crew 1980, 740). It is set on a low rise about 75m from a more regular, double-ditched, cropmark enclosure (NPRN 400779).
The enclosure is roughly 50m north-east to south-west by 45m and has a south-west facing entrance. It appears to be connected to fainter linear cropmark features. This is likely to be a prehistoric or Romano-British defended farming enclosure.
