Description
An early to mid nineteenth century cartshed and stable range, one of a group of farmbuildings south of the mansion of Wern-y-Newydd (NPRN 35388).
A single storey lofted range. In 1987 it had whitened stone rubble walls under a slate gabled roof. It faces east onto the farmyard where there are two elliptical cart entries with the stable door at the north end and three upper storey windows under the eaves. The rear elevation has a matching stable door and two upper storey windows. External stairs lead up to doorways in each gable. An earlier cruck building, adapted as a farmbuilding, adjoins on the north (NPRN 31557).
The stable had stalls for six stalls.
