Description
The North Dock (nprn 34207) was built 1897 to 1902; the Engine House (nprn 34208) provided hydraulic power for various uses in the dock including operation of the swing bridge, constructed in about 1900, carrying the Llanelly and Mynydd Mawr Railway line (nprn 411059) over the the entrance channel to the dock. It was a steel bridge carrying a single railway track; noted in position on 14 September 1978, it has since been removed.
