Description
Cutting on hillside north-east of canal and embankment to the south-west Heavily engineered shelf for the canal cut into the hillside indicative of the heroic nature of the engineering. Built in 1804-08 as part of the navigable feeder canal from Horseshoe Falls to Trevor Basin by the engineers Thomas Telford & Thomas Denson. Cutting and bank, which now carries the towing-path, seen from the canal 04.07.2006.
