Description
Goginan is a small village located on the A44, east of Aberystwyth, north of the Afon Rheidol. The village is associated with the silver and lead mining industries from the 1700's. It has several chapels, the Dyffryn Welsh Calvinistic Methodist Chapel (NPRN: 7386) and the Jezreel Baptist Chapel (NPRN: 7384). Goginan Lead and Silver Mines (NPRN: 33875) lie to the north and several Bronze age barrow (NPRN: 404647; 404648; 405448; 405447) have been discovered, also to the north of the village.
