Bryn Llefrith was an upland farmstead dated 1807, and comprised a farmhouse and contemporary outbuildings around an enclosed yard. The complex was built by John Jones of Bryn Brain, the engineer responsible for the road over the Black Mountains. Opencast mining in the area resulted in the demolition of the farmstead circa 1990.
