A nineteenth-century cast-iron gas lamp-standard with brazier on the top said to have been erected on the Esplanade, and altered for the 1951 Festival of Britain. It was later moved to the South Beach car park but during 2011 after the demolition of Fountains Cafe, it is proposed that the monument be once again relocated.
