A platform-sited farmhouse on the N side of Cwm Hirnant with a classic development. The house has two principal phases: (1) a C16th cruck-framed hallhouse, probably originally with timber-framed walls, and (2) a C17th stone-walled farmhouse of regional type with a lobby-entrance and ogee-stopped beams. Three cruck-trusses survive defining the inner-room, single-bay hall, passage, and outer bay of a 'peasant' hallhouse. The dais partition is of post-and-panel type with two doorways.
