DescriptionSt Barnabas' church is located on the east side of High Street. It was built in the period 1896-9 to designs of architect E.M.Bruce Vaughan of Cardiff. It is positioned on a sloping site, the west end a self-conscious composition of plate-traceried window and buttresses towards the road, but decapitated now that the bellcote has been removed.
The plan consists of a nave, with a lower chancel added in 1933. It was reconstructed in the 1930s after bomb damage.
