DescriptionPost-medieval hut, one of only two on Hirwaun Common where a fireplace has been identified. In a sheltered position below Craig-y-Bwlch, the uphill (gable-end?) wall built into a bank. Walls are 0.7m thick and stand up to 1m high. The hut is single-unit, 4.8m NE-SW by 4.2m, with entrance in the SE wall. Outside of the entrance is a 2m section of wall, and much fallen stone, suggesting that there was an adjacent pen.
