Richmond Road Independent Hall was built in 1884 to the design of architect J Follet Fawkner of Newport and the chapel built in1898. This was bombed during the Second World War and demolished. The site was redeveloped in 1963 by the Christian Scientists. The present chapel, dated 1988 and now known as Eglwys Bresbyteriaid Cymru Y Crwys, is built in the Late Twentieth century style with a gable-entry plan
