NAR SS97SE8

A sub-oval enclosure, c.314m E-W by 156m, defined by scarps resting on steep natural slopes on the N, elsewhere by a rampart, possibly stone-revetted, fronted by a ditch, with one, or two further lines of ramparts and ditches, having a complex entrance on the W;a possible E annex may be associated with later re-use.

visited D.J.Percival 01.08.1991

Traces of settlement within the enclosure appear to have post-dated Roman activty, and may be associated with the possible med. building immediately below the eastern rampart (NPRN18205).
