Elim Baptist Chapel was built in 1891, in the Sub-Classical style with a gable-entry plan, to the design of architect B. Williams of Swansea. It replaced an earlier schoolhouse from 1863 after the congregation grew considerably under the ministry of Rev. Rhys Lewis.
