Soar Independent Chapel was first built in 1876 and rebuilt in 1881. The later chapel was built in the Sub-Classical style of the gable-entry type. The ground floor windows were flat-headed, while the door opening and first floor windows were round-headed. All had marginal glazing. The ground floor windows had heavily accentuated ashalr stone surrounds, while the round-headed windows had moulded architraves that probably dated back to the original building. By 1994 this chapel had been demolished.
