Ebenezer Methodist Chapel was built in 1807 and extended in 1821. The old chapel was converted for use as a house when a new chapel was built in 1846 and this later chapel was remodelled and a vestry added in 1906. The present chapel, dated 1846, is built in the Sub-Classical style, with a gable-entry plan, two storeys and round-headed windows. During the period between the wars, the chapel was a popular venue for concerts and penny readings intended to attract new members, and the demountable stage that covers the big seat is still there. Ebenezer chapel is now Grade 2 Listed for its architectural interest as a well-designed 1906 refronting and complete interior of the same date.
