Cwmsyfiog Independent Chapel was built in 1897 but had been converted to a house by the time of survey in 2013. However, it retains the tablet over the entrance, and weathered foundation stones flanking the doorway, bearing the date 1896. The building is set back from and above the road, behind a forecourt stone retaining wall. The chapel was built in a simple style but is much altered. It has a gable-end entrance front of rock-faced stone, incorporating round-headed windows and door, with freestone dressings.
