Description
Meyrick Street Methodist Chapel was first built in 1820 and rebuilt in 1848. The later chapel is designed by draughtsman John Road of Pembroke Dock. Alterations were made in 1857 and the chapel was enlarged in 1867 by architect Kedgwin William Ladd. Internal alterations were made in 1882-85 and renovation works took place in 1911 and 1986. The present chapel, dated 1867, was built in the Sub-Classical style with a gable-entry plan and two storey facade. Now known as Zion Free Church, this building is now Grade 2* Listed for its exceptional interior and as the largest chapel in Dyfed.
