The 1851 Religious Census described the Pant Mawr Independent Meeting House as "A room in a farmhouse, not used exclusively as a place of worship". The present farmhouse appears to date from the late nineteenth century and the Independent meeting no longer functions here, although the present owner's deeds refer to use of a room in present or previous farmhouse as a meeting place.
