Description
Two sides of what may have been a rectangular or square enclosure lie on ground sloping gently to the SE towards a stream. The ground is poorly drained but has been ploughed in recent years according to the local farmer.
The banks are represented by two conjoining outward-facing scarps forming the E and S sides of the enclosure. The scarps are 48m and 50m long respectively with heights of 0.6m and 0.5m. There is a suggestion of an outer ditch part way along the S side. The N end of the E side appears to turn sharply as if to form the N side but is interrupted by the adjacent field bank. The definition of the other half of the enclosure on the ground is problematical. The field on the other side of the boundary presents no obvious banking, and the ground rises more steeply in any case.
