Dolanog Methodist Chapel was built in 1828, repaired in 1844, a ceiling installed in 1853 and further modified in 1877. Dolanog was rebuilt in 1904 as a memorial to Ann Griffiths, a Methodist hymn writer and regarded as one of the most important female figures in the history of Welsh literature. This chapel is built to the design of architect C. Dickens Lewis of Shrewsbury, in the Arts and Crafts Gothic style with a gable entry plan and tall leaded windows.
