Glanhafren Welsh Independent Chapel was first built in 1828 and rebuilt in 1877. The later chapel was built in the Simple Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan. and sash windows with glazing bars and radiating heads, and has three bays to each of the long elevations. The south elevation is slate-hung, while the north and east are stone with yellow brick quoins and dressings. The entrance is in the east gable, with a plaque above which reads "Hen/ Capel/ 1828/ Glanhafren/ y/ newydd/ 1877". There are cottages attached to the west gable end, which is partially slate-hung. Glanhafren fell into disuse during the early twenty-first century.
