DescriptionThis former house, smithy and garden was bought in 1814 and adapted into a Wesleyan chapel. A new chapel was then built in 1828 and extended and re-fashioned in 1865 (BCS database, but under NPRN: 12238). The present chapel, dated 1828, is built in the Vernacular style and is situated in a village row, facing directly on to a lane. It has a rendered long-wall entry elevation, a slate roof, two flat-headed sash windows with glazing bars (set high in the wall and right hand doorway). It also has a slate-hung south gable.
