Bethesda Independent Chapel was built in 1827 and had a new facade built in 1896. The present building, dated 1896, is built in the Simple Round-Headed style with a gable entry plan. The chapel has a red-brick, 5-bay facade facing the road with an ashlar band at tympanum level, inscribed: "Erected 1827/ Bethesda/ Enlarged 1896". At the centre three bays project and comprise flanking windows to a centre round-arched entrance in a gabled porch. There is a further window in each recessed end bay. Bethesda closed in 1992 and had been converted into four flats by 1995.
