Description
Salem Methodist Chapel was built in 1876 in the Simple Gothic style with a gable entry plan. The gable facing the road has a round-arched slate plaque inscribed: "1876/ Addoldy y/ Methodistiaid Calfinaidd". It has red-brick walls and the front gable facing the road has a lancet triplet, and the adjoining flanking lancets have vitreous and cream brick voussoirs. The end flanking openings are now windows, but formerly comprised fanlights over chapel entries. There is a vitreous and cream brick decorative band. In 1980 this chapel stood disused but by 2002 had been converted into a house. The small brick chapel house adjoined on the left hand side, is now part of the same dwelling.
