Description
An imposing 19th century house with 11 bedrooms and five reception rooms, and a seperate four-bedroomed lodge set in 30 acres of gardens.

Event and Historical Information:
The grounds for the house were the gift of local townspeople of Tenby to Charles Norris, the artists whose paintings and engravings helped to attract tourist to what was then just a small fishing port. The house was built in 1818 and remained the painter's home until his death in 1858. it later became the home of Lord and Lady Risedale who added a large games room. The house became a hotel in the 1960s. Extensions were added and some of the original rooms were subdivided into additional bedrooms. The hotel was sold to local businessman in 1999 and was restored to a large private house (a new roof, plumbing, wiring, and the demolition of the 1960s extensions).
