Derwenlas Methodist Chapel was built in 1843 and rebuilt in 1858. The present structure possibly reflects its former appearance, with the long-wall front elevation of the chapel facing on to the road. The chapel is built in the Vernacular style with a gable entry plan and flat-headed windows.There is a double-fronted chapel house on the right hand side, under the same roofline. In 2002 this chapel was in the process of being converted into a house.
