DescriptionZion Baptist Chapel is a typical example of an early to mid nineteenth-century hipped-roof and square-plan chapel. The chapel was built in 1846 and rebuilt (presumably the interior) in 1899. It is built in the Sub Classical style with two storeys. There is a round-headed doorway but all the other openings are rectangular and domestic or 'vernacular' in style. The 1851 Religious Census recorded that 260 seats were free to use and 220 paid for. The 1905 Royal Commission on Religious Buildings in Wales recorded that there were 750 seats in the chapel and that the building was worth £1,500.
