DescriptionThe Wrexham Cemetery Chapels were built in 1874 just inside the gates on Ruabon Road. They were designed by architect William Turner of Wrexham, in the Gothic style with long-wall entry plans and built with random rock-faced rubble with ashlar dressings and banded slate roofs with terracotta cresting. The two symeetrical chapels are joinded by a central archway with a tower and spire above. By 1999 the left hand chapel was still in use as a chapel but the right hand chapel was in use as a gravediggers store. Both are now Grade 2 Listed with the cemetery lodge, gate-piers, gates and railings.
