Salem Baptist Chapel was built in 1848 in the Simple Round-Headed and Sub-Classical style of the gable entry type. The architect was W.Roberts and the builder G.Thomas of Brynmawr. In 2006 planning permission was sort to convert this chapel and by 2010 the building was in use as a historical exhibition (Chartist Movement) and information centre.
