Description
St Marks Church is located on the north side of Commercial Road at its junction with Brooklyn Terrace. It was built in 1897-99 in response to population increases following the introduction of deep mining. The church is built of stone in Lancet style to designs of architect C.Telford Evans of Cardiff. It is a two-storey building containing both church and parish hall facilities. It comprises a nave, chancel and east gable porch below a double bell-cote.
