St John's church is located in Stanley Road, set back from the road on its east side. It was built in 1932 to designs of architect A.F.Webb of Blackwood. It has a pebble-dashed walls and dressings of grey artificial Portland Stone. The Incorporated Church Building Society objected to the design, rejecting an application for a building grant in 1931. Stained glass includes work by Celtic Studios (1963).
