DescriptionSt David's is located on the east side of Commercial Street at its junction with St David's Road (the B4254). It was built in 1893-4 to designs of architect E.M.Bruce Vaughan of Cardiff whose churches are found frequently in the valleys, and this one is typical of his work. It is built of rock-faced grey Pennant sandstone with Bath stone dressings. It consists of nave and lower chancel, south gabled porch and east double bell gable; Perpendicular east and west windows and two-light Geometrical side windows. Stained glass includes work by Heaton, Butler & Bayne (A.Brooks).
