Description
This Mission Hall was built during the late nineteenth century. It is built in the Simple Round-Headed style but has window glazing of simple gothic type and this mixed style is typical of the period. The entrance is through a gable door set in a porch. The central doorway is flanked by two tall round-headed doorways and the sides are lit by three such windows. There is a rectangular stone plaque over the doorway and a rectangular vent in the attic set over this. The walls are of red brick with yellow-brick dressings. The interior is entirely lined with painted timber planks in simple style and there is a central aisle leading to a small tub pulpit set against the gable furthest from the door. Two further doorways flank the pulpit. When photographed in 1997 the chapel was still in use for worship.
