St David's church is located on the west side of Woodfield Street. It was built in 1889-91 in Early English style to designs of E.M.Bruce Vaughan. It is constructed of snecked rock-faced sandstone, the dressed stone painted over. It comprises a chancel with higher nave, bell gablet over chancel arch, and displays strong buttressing towards the road. Inside, the nave is of five bays, the arcade piers all cylindrical. Fittings include reredos and pulpit by Bruce Vaughan, and an immersion font at the west end of the nave. Stained glass includes work attributable to Celtic Studios.
